Our Programs
East Syracuse-Minoa offers a variety of youth baseball and softball programs for players of all abilities. Programs run throughout the calendar year for players 5 to 18 years old.
Spring Season
Most of our programs' spring season runs from late April through mid-June. These programs are focused on education of the game and developing the skills needed to play and learn about the game.
Extended Season / Tournament
For those players looking for games with increased competition, East Syracuse-Minoa programs host additional opportunities with a structured level. Participation in a spring or fall season program is a prerequisite for these opportunities.
Fall/Winter Season
The Fall/Winter Season is the transition period for Little League International, where players "age up" a level and, in some cases, are given an introduction to the next level of play they would be moving into for the next season. These leagues are geared toward all players of all skills and abilities looking for additional games in the fall and winter in hopes of getting ready for the next season.

Baseball Divisions
T-Ball
This division introduces the game of baseball to many players for the first time, providing a fun and wholesome recreational experience. It focuses on the basics of the game, it's rules, sportsmanship and teamwork.
Ages: 5-7
Schedule: Games start approximately the middle of May and run through the second week of June. All games are played at Lewis Park Monday through Saturday (depending on the number of teams), 1-2 times / week for a total of 8-10 games.

Rookie Baseball
Our rookie division takes the fundamentals learned in T-ball and increases the number of repetitions players get. The focus in this division is learning the rules of the game and working together as a team, while increasing the development of players' basic skills.
Ages: 6-9
Schedule: Games start approximately the second full week of May through June, with 2 games / week. Games played in this division using a pitching machine to help speed up the game to focus on player development. On days of game, parents can expect their child to warm up for 20-30 minutes prior to the start of the game, followed by 75 minutes of game based activity. Games will be held at Tolhurst Field in East Syracuse with a possibility of playing at Galuski Field in Minoa

Minors Baseball
Building upon the fundamentals learned in the Rookie Division, the Minors division exposes players to live pitching for the first time. Players at this level should be expected to have good fundamentals for the game and understand the rules of baseball. Parents can expect games at this level to be slightly more competitive.
All players that enroll in Minors or Majors Baseball division will be expected to participate in an evaluation/draft process.
Ages: 8-10
Schedule: Season runs from the end of April through mid-June with approximately 12-14 games. Games are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with at least two games per week. Homes games will be held at Carrier Park in Dewitt and Galuski Field in Minoa.

Majors Baseball
The Majors division is the most competitive division of the youth baseball divisions that East Syracuse-Minoa offers. Games in this division are played on a 50/70 field, where the mound is 50 feet from home plate and the base paths are 70 feet. This division helps our youth players transition to the big field (90 feet) when they age out of Little League Baseball.
Players enrolled in this division will be expected to participate in an evaluation/draft process.
Ages: 10-12
Schedule: Season runs from the mid/end of April through mid-June with approximately 12-14 games. Games are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with at least two games per week. Homes games will be held at Carrier Park in Dewitt and Galuski Field in Minoa.

Softball Divisions
Game schedules for Coach Pitch, Minors and Majors will not be available until around April 20. Games for Minors and Majors will begin around May 4 and go until around June 8. Games for Minors and Majors will be either at Maxwell Park, Carrier Park or an area field (for example, Solvay, Chittenango, Liverpool, North Syracuse, etc.).
Practice schedules will be determined according to coach and field availability. Generally speaking, you can expect 1-2 practices each week with fewer practices during game-heavy weeks. Practices will usually be held at Maxwell Park.
